We are looking for a Chief Data Officer for  a global technology company that builds apps at the intersection of dating, social, and entertainment. The company’s portfolio includes 70 social discovery platforms with a focus on AI, game mechanics, and video streaming. The client actively support and invest in social discovery startups worldwide through the CVC fund.

The company invests in social discovery technology startups around the world. Investments include Open AI, Patreon, Flo, RAW, EVA AI, Clubhouse, Magnet, Woebot, Flure, Astry, Coursera, Academia, Harbour, Space, Auto1, DocSend, AppAnnie, Rapyd, Boom Supersonic, Trading, View, K-Health and many others.

The digital nomad team of more than 1200 professionals works all over the world. Together, they are solving the prevalent problem of loneliness and shaping Social Life 3.0 — a new digital reality where people will be able to fulfil their needs for communication and attention from other people and artificial life forms.

The teams of digital nomads live and work remotely from Cyprus, Malta, the USA, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Poland, Israel, Turkey, Latvia and many others.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company’s data strategy, including data architecture, analytics processes, and BI tools.
  • Lead and expand the data team, managing data engineers, analysts, and ML specialists.
  • Ensure high-quality analytics, developing methodologies for evaluating marketing effectiveness, running experiments, and establishing key metrics.
  • Collaborate with business teams, providing data-driven recommendations and managing product unit economics.
  • Oversee data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Drive AI/ML initiatives and optimize processes using advanced data solutions.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in CDO, Head of Data, or VP of Analytics roles.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical statistics, A/B testing, analytics, and unit economics.
  • Knowledge of database principles (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience managing teams of Data Engineers, Product Analysts, and ML specialists.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and performance analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with DWH, BI, and ETL processes.
  • Bonus: Experience with ML, AI, and data-driven product development.

This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
