We’re now looking for an animator to help us develop cinematic animations that will take Larian’s games to new heights. This position is open to both mid level (3+ yrs exp) and senior level (6+ yrs exp) talent.
Responsibilities
Help juniors manage their tasks and make their deadlines
Promote Larian’s unique methods and iterative processes and serve as an example
Coach and help juniors to improve their animation quality and overcome their technical challenges
Relay and amplify the artistic vision of the Animation Director and Cinematic Director
Communicate with team leadership and production
Understand the requirements of the game and maintain the animation style of the production title
Explain your technical needs and the needs of the junior animators to our technical team
Adhere and commit to the milestones and sprints set for the entire team by our producers
Create charming and believable in-game animations ranging from the biggest creature to the smallest assets
Partner up with level designers and Cinematic Artists in their needs to create an emotionally engaging world
Maintain your own animations through polish and bug fixing
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years experience (for mid level) or 6+ years experience (for senior level) in game animation
Published one AAA title as an Animator
Experience in Autodesk Maya and motion capture + cleanup tools
Thorough understanding of modern and classical animation styles
Knowledge of anatomy and what moves and motivates creatures and characters alike
Knowledge of animation fundamentals, techniques, and acting/staging
Excellent written and spoken English
Able to give constructive feedback and receive feedback graciously

Experience in solving production limitations of character and animation pipelines
