Talents in Games agency is seeking a QA Technician Specialist / QA Mobile Specialist for our partner’s premium HTML5 games full-cycle agency who will be responsible for delivering high-quality mobile applications.
The ideal candidate should have commercial experience in manual testing of mobile applications, at least upper-intermediate proficiency (B2) in English, and the willingness to relocate to Cologne.
Please note that a high level of English proficiency is required to comfortably go through all stages of the interview process and communicate fluently in both written and oral forms for 100% of working time.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer remote or hybrid work formats. However, we are prepared to provide an extended relocation package for the new team member, assistance and support in obtaining a work visa, and a permanent employment contract for indefinite work in the country, among other benefits listed below 😊 .
Additionally, having an understanding of game development processes and knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals would be a plus.
Projects to be tested:
New Android and iOS applications similar to a «TikTok for games».

About the team you will be directly working with:
The team that will work with the candidate consists of four people who will onboard the new team member, plus an additional teammate who will also be involved in the process.
Tools used for communication and task management:
We use software such as Slack, Skype, Jira, and Whatsapp.
For QA, without specific tools, you will need to use different devices to play games and manually search for errors.
Equipment for work (laptops, phones, etc.):
All necessary equipment for work is provided by the company. If something needs to be purchased, it is not a problem.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain test plans, checklists, test documents and setup of test cases for upcoming patches and content updates
- Test features on different platforms for their functionality, and give valuable feedback to the teams
- Follow-up with the developers on issues, and reproduce and report them clearly in our bug tracker
- Work in close collaboration with producers, developers and artists to ensure a clear understanding and to stay on top of the current state and development of the game
The probation period will last for 3 months. The tasks after the probationary period will not differ from those described above.
Regarding performance evaluation criteria, there are no strict guidelines after the probation period. As the team is still small, it will be a relaxed environment and there won’t be any meetings with management.
There are potential career growth opportunities, such as leading the QA team as the next step, which can be discussed in the future based on performance.
What we expect:
- 1-2 years of сommercial experience in mobile app testing
- Experience using mobile app testing tools would be a huge plus
- Fundamentals of Javascript would be a huge plus
- Fluent in English, with a minimum level of B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
- Must be able to self-teach
- A team player, but also able to work independently and goal-oriented
- Have the attitude to exceed industry standards
- Experience with game development processes is beneficial

- The second half-hour online interview with the founder of the company on general topics in English
- You will likely be asked to complete a test assignment
- The third half-hour technical online interview with the company in English
- A meet-and-greet interview at the company’s office in Cologne in offline mode, if you have a visa that allows the company to organize this interview. The company takes care of all travel and accommodation expenses. If you do not have a visa, unfortunately we will have to skip this stage of the interview, even though we would love to meet you in person and are also ready to arrange a small trip for you 😊
